Rino dj booth

The rhino head DJ booth was commissioned to me by clients who held Techno raves in Beirut, Lebanon. They requested a rhino themed booth for their parties. The idea was to build a booth that can be mantled and dismantled easily. A booth that can be set up in a variety of ways. The head design is a triangulation of a 3D realistic rhino head using 3D modelling software. The shape and location of the triangles are designed in a way to make sure the structure is stable and integer. The head is assembled in 2 symmetric parts made of 45 wood pieces each. Side A had MDF wood triangular pieces CNC cut. Every triangle was numbered; every side was lettered. The angle at every connection was measured in 3D. The wood triangles were connected using specifically bent steel plates that were bolted to the wood on each side. The final output model was a 5m x 2.2m x 3.5m rhino that the DJ rides when he plays his music.
